Service Description

An ISF or Individual Service Fund is when a service user wants to use their individual budget to buy support services from a provider like Angelcare. What are the benefits? The money is held by a service provider like Angelcare on the persons behalf, and you the individual decides how to spend the money. As your provider, Angelcare will be accountable to you the Service User. The provider commits to spend the money only on the individual’s service and the management and support necessary to provide that service (not into a general pooled budget). ISF's offers the freedom of choice and put you the service user in control, but helps you the person who uses the service to become involved in managing the financial aspects of their care, or the implications of becoming an employer when employing a personal assistant.
